I had a Facebook conversation with a couple of my fashion conscious cousins. I am in the middle of trying to re-vamp my wardrobe and asked if Capri's were still in style.
They flatly informed me they were not.
Okay then.
Now, what to do with the four pair of Capri pants in the tub under my bed?
Answer: cut off the legs and make short! But how many pairs of cutoff shorts can you have without looking like you are wearing the same thing over and over? I am going to have to vary them somehow.
A few ideas have presented themselves.
I can dye a khaki pair a nice color and use a bleach pen to do this.
Maybe add some hem detailing like these.
Other sources of inspiration
this railroad stripe pair
this pair with orderly polka-dots
these whales are just too adorable
Hopefully in the next few weeks, I will have some photos of my re-purposed Capri pants.
Well I guess I am just going to be unfashionable. I love my capris and have fat legs so don't want to wear shorts! :-)
ReplyDeletei actually loved my Capri's but did admit that maybe they aged me before my time. i think if you wear Capri's that are fitted close to the calf and don't hang out wide, they look a lot better than the "Mom Capri" look.
Deletehave you tried bermuda shorts?
DeleteYes I have bermuda shorts as well. I like those but can't wear them to work. Capris I can wear to work and lots of people wear them around here. So if I'm unfashionable at least I fit in when I'm at work. :-)
